What this FSG covers

This Financial Services Guide (FSG) is designed to assist you in deciding whether to use our financial services. It contains important information about:

What services are we authorised to provide?

The financial services referred to in this guide are provided by your Authorised Broker, who is authorised under the Community Broker Network Pty Ltd's Australian Financial Services Licence to provide financial product advice and deal in general insurance products for wholesale and retail clients. We will do this on your behalf as your general insurance broker unless we tell you otherwise.

Will I receive tailored advice?

We may need information about your personal objectives, details of your current financial situation and any relevant information so that we can arrange insurance policies for you or give you advice about your insurance needs. We will ask you for the details that we need to know.

Where we provide you with advice about your insurance arrangements, that advice is current at the time that we give it. At renewal we may review your insurance to ensure you continue to be covered.

How will I pay for the services provided?

Payment for the services we provide is payable directly to Community Broker Network Pty Ltd. For each insurance product, the insurer will charge a premium that includes any relevant taxes, charges and levies. Community Broker Network Pty Ltd will receive a commission based on a percentage of this premium (excluding relevant taxes, charges and levies). We may also charge you a broker fee shown on your invoice.

How are commissions calculated?

The commission the Insurer pays to Community Broker Network Pty Ltd is calculated based on the formula: P × Y% = X, where P is the amount you pay, Y% is the percentage commission paid by the insurer (0–30%), and X is the resulting commission. Community Broker Network Pty Ltd deducts a management fee of between 0% and 22.5% and pays the remainder to us.
